Parent Consulting

As the parent of a spirited child, you've likely found that much of the advice you've received just doesn't work for your more sensitive, more intense, more determined child. This can leave you feeling frustrated, helpless, and defeated. My parent consultations take place in person in Abbotsford, BC, or online via Zoom. They start with you filling out a detailed form so I can get to know you, your child, and learn more about the specific issues you're struggling with. These hour-long sessions are typically held on an as-needed basis, whenever you need some advice or strategies, or simply want to troubleshoot a specific issue.

"Having Holly as a resource has been so helpful. She has many simple, easy to implement ideas that WORK! She is easy to work with, and she is incredibly kind and sensitive to the needs of parents with a spirited little one. She also has interesting research and personal experience to back up all of the info she shares. She is positive yet practical, an important combination for working with little ones!"

10-Day Practical Discipline Training

Screen Shot 2020-05-19 at 8.35.39 PM

What: Learn and practice simple discipline strategies to add to your parenting "toolbox"

When: Whenever you're ready to start!

Where: Lessons delivered via email over 10 days. Get support and feedback as you work your way through the lessons via our private Facebook group.

Who: For parents of kids ages 1-6 who need some extra help with discipline (ideal for ages 2+, but never too early to learn effective discipline strategies).

"Every time I used the information with my spirited children (yes, I have 2), I saw immediate results. Of course, every child and family is different but, we had SO many takeaways from this training to use when different situations arise that help keep me focused and calm and results in fewer, less frequent meltdowns. I can’t say enough good things. The only negative I have to say is I wish it was longer! Thanks for making me more comfortable and confident when parenting my spirited children, Holly!"

Virtual Parenting Workshops

I regularly offer live, virtual workshops to help you learn new skills to parent your spirited child. These interactive group sessions take place in a private Facebook group, and allow you to learn, practice and perfect strategies like managing meltdowns, becoming an emotion coach for your child, teaching self-regulation,  and teaching your spirited child to sleep independently. These workshops are announced via my email list, and enrolment is on a first come-first serve basis.

“This course not only helped me identify where my child struggles but gave me compassionate tools in which to adjust my parenting methods for an effective resolution to many struggles we had in our household. During the course I immediately saw radical improvements in my son's behavior creating a much more peaceful environment. I also was gifted an insightful look into my own childhood in which I based much of my parenting skills from subconsciously. A great healing on many fronts has taken place now and we're all better for it. “

“This training was extemely helpful. I learned great ways to help my child during a meltdown and also things I can do to try and prevent them. This training has helped our family to better help our child and though not an immediate fix I now have the tools I need to continue to help him while he grows and changes. It helped me to see that there are things that I can be doing to help."
